Planning out meals for the week can feel like a daunting task, but it has sooo many benefits. And once you find a system that works for you to plan your meals, it doesn't take a ton of time!
I use the plan in my Meal Prep Guide and write in what I plan to eat for the week. I tend to keep to the same things for my pre and post workout meals, which keeps things simple. Then I plan out my lunches and dinners and check off what I need on the grocery list.
Here are the benefits to planning out your meals, even if you only do it a few days in advance:
Saves Time - You don't have to go back and forth about what to make after a long day - which can also reduce stress!
Saves Money - Knowing what you will have makes it easy to have a grocery list so you don't buy things you don't need. You also have a plan so you're less likely to resort to takeout.
Promotes Healthy Eating - You know the meals fit into your plan for nutrition for the day and balance them out with the rest of your food choices for the day/week.
Lends Itself to Variety/Creativity - You get to try new recipes and have a variety of foods throughout the week.
Less Waste - You only buy what you need at the store based on your meal plan and then you use up ingredients in your kitchen before they go bad.
If you want extra support with meal planning, I have meal plans that are done based on your goal calories in my shop!
